NEW SLANG ALERT! NEW SLANG ALERT! BE READY! BE CAUTIOUS! BE AWARE!
My girl just read this in a marketing newsletter:
The other day my 12-year-old described one of the smarter boys in her class as a "hugel."
She read the confusion on my face and then said, "You know, Mom, 'hoogle' as in human Google? He knows everything!" Now that I understood.
So there you go. I expect this one to catch on, for good or ill. Now, the issue we are faced with is, how best to spell the bugger? I'm still at odds over wether Murk (as in slay) should be Murk or Merk. Still. You spell "Bugle", as in the tooting device, ur, Bugle, so Hugle makes sense, what with human having "hu" at the start. but Hugle reads like Huggle, to me. "Hoogle" scans better. I am at a loss. Shall we have a vote?
