Everybody knows the tale of one of Wales’ favourite sons, Howard Marks, AKA Mr Nice. I learned of his amazing story after seeing him on the sleeve of the Super Furry Animals debut LP. Many years later we shared the bill at a club in Liverpool, along with a dressing room. He was a lovely fellow, sharing stories and jokes, and even hit me off with some of his spliff. I felt great, I can tell you.
So, this movie adoption of his best selling autobiography might actually be great! The trailer sure looks it, and as my pal Gwilym rates the director, Bernard Rose. Although my pal Gwilym thinks Master And Commander is one of the greatest movies of all time, so one cannot always trust his opinion.

Finally, some good news for the Wavy One!
Despite being behind bars Max B recently got a reason to celebrate. Yesterday (May 26) a judge ruled that Jim Jones no longer has any rights over the incarcerated rapper or his work, making way for his long-awaited album, Vigilante Season, to drop on indie Amalgam Digital.
Reps for label told XXL that the judge ruled the Harlemite has fully performed his obligations under both his 2005 recording contract and 2007 songwriting contract with Jones. Basically that means the Dipset Capo has no claim over any music recordings Max created with Amalgam, including songs used on Vigilante Season.
As previously reported, the Max was sentenced to 75 years in prison on September 3, 2009 for orchestrating a 2006 robbery that left a man slain in a Fort Lee, New Jersey hotel. Although he was recently granted an appeal, Max has yet to get a court date.
In the mean time, Vigilante Season is now in the clear for release
Great news. Congratulations Maxi. Now someone call him a cotdanged taxi!
