…oh yeah, 'ere we go, unstated point being, there's a new cut of the Prisoner out now. Not that god awful Hollywood version, but a 40th anniversary special box set. When the The Prisoner went into production, Patrick McGoohan insisted that the whole thing was filmed on 35mm color celluloid, principally because at the time, even though all TV was presented in black and white, he realized that that wasn't gonna be the case for long, and insisted the best picture capture technique available was used. Luckily for us, this also means that when remastered, we can encode a perfect 1080p HD copy, hence the Blue Ray version out now. Over two gig per episode when encoded @ 720p, but we spacemonkeys do like our bright shiny object don't we (/drool). Straczynski did the same thing with Babylon 5, shooting it all on Super35mm, in widescreen, back in an age when everything was all 4:3 aspect.
