ATD that is such a spot on article. It's a real shame it didn't get in the paper. Occasionally the media latch on to a thing like this Brand/Ross incident and you know that it's a fucked up crusade to serve some sort of purpose but it's difficult to put in to words. Your article puts it in to those much needed words brilliantly.

Well said...I must vent this...

I'm fucking sure there must have been something more important happening in the world this week than a poorly received juvenile prank that went too far. The Sun had 5 pages of it the other day!!

On top of that, this Satanic Slut (classy) gave an interview where she told all about her and Brand 's romp. Sachs should surely have told his idiotic Grandaughter to keep her mouth shut while all the shit had calmed down. It will surely lose her Gramps symapthy.

On the subject of the bandwagon jumping politicians, Jack Straw waded in saying that they should be sacked as they are paid from the public purse. Now correct me if I'm wrong but so are his lot and I happen to think that my Taxes are better spent on entertainers than decorating his second fuckin' home. The brassneck of these fuckers, If every politician who had done something wrong while being paid from the public pot was forced to resign or be sacked then the commons and parliament would be like Gordon Browns head, empty.

Once politicians start getting involved in discussions of what 'artists' can and can't say worries me. Macarthy witch hunts!!

In ParliamentI would rather they discussed the absolute shithole the world is becoming than
a misjudged wind up.

Shame on those oppertunist demons! They lick balls.

rant over

Maybe the outrageous over-reaction to Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand is because of - not in spite of - the more serious events of the day. At least here's a scandal where we can effect an outcome.

Post-Reality TV, Web 2.0, X Factor etc., we 'the people' are used to getting our way. But, alas, you can't stop the recession by writing into Points of View. I think this is all about regaining our control over current affairs.

Maybe it's the first step in rebuilding our delusional media-prism world view. Or maybe its the first step to economic recovery. Or maybe both.
