The only way the job of Mayor could actually be important would be if you did the job badly. Which Ken did. Not only did he run it badly but he also ran it very corruptly. He divided the City by race and charged us for the pleasure. I'm of the opinion that Boris will stick to the job of a London Mayor (by not rocking the boat, by not extending his own powers) and we'll have a happier, better organised capital city for it.
